What A Night!
Our 48-Hour Film Challenge LIVE SHOW was an absolute blast, and we are still smiling over here at Film School 4 Teens!
First of all — Haylie and Kelson did an incredible job hosting the event. Their fun energy, humor, and encouragement made the whole night feel like a celebration (which it absolutely was!). They kept things moving, cheered on every filmmaker, and made our students feel so seen.
But let’s be clear…

We had 50 entries — the most we have EVER had in a 48-Hour Challenge — and narrowing it down to 8 featured films for the LIVE SHOW was not easy. Every single student worked incredibly hard. Writing, filming, editing, and producing a short film in just 48 hours is no small task!
And just wait until you see what they created using these prompts:
LINE OF DIALOGUE: “I can explain! ”
PROP: A tennis ball
CHARACTER: A person who thinks they are an expert… but actually isn’t
The creativity? Off the charts.The storytelling? So impressive.The comedic timing? Hilarious.The effort? Truly inspiring.
Watching what students can accomplish in just two days reminds us why we do what we do. When teens are given a challenge, a deadline, and creative freedom — they rise to the occasion every time.
If you have a little time, this LIVE SHOW is absolutely worth watching and you can see the winners!! It’s encouraging, entertaining, and a powerful reminder of what young filmmakers are capable of. We are beyond grateful for this amazing community and so excited to add even more competitions like this to our yearly schedule. This is just the beginning!
