Panel by Panel: A New Creative Adventure Begins

At Film School 4 Teens, we’re all about giving students the tools to turn their big ideas into reality. This fall, we’re thrilled to announce something brand new:

Graphic Novel 101 – Creating Your Own Comic Book!

ree

This course isn’t just another art class—it’s an invitation to take your wildest ideas, your funniest characters, your boldest stories, and turn them into a real, finished comic book. By the end, you won’t just be sketching in a notebook—you’ll be holding YOUR comic in your hands, ready to share with the world.

Why This Course Is Special

1. A Master Teacher at the Helm

We are partnering with Christian Washington, an Associate Professor of Animation at Huntington University. Christian isn’t just a teacher—he’s a creator. With three self-published graphic novels under his belt and years of experience mentoring artists, Christian brings a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm. He’s also overseen more than 50 animated films, giving him a unique perspective on storytelling through both still and moving images.

Who This Course Is For

This is a high school–level course (8th graders welcome) and is considered one of our more advanced FS4T electives. It’s perfect for teens who are ready to stretch their creativity and take on a bigger challenge.

Whether your student is a doodler with notebooks full of sketches, a storyteller bursting with ideas, or an artist who’s thought about comics before but never made one—this course will meet them where they are while pushing them to grow. No fancy supplies needed just Pro-Create App ( $12.99 one time fee) . Bring your imagination, and we’ll help you shape it into something amazing.

Final Thoughts

Every comic begins with a blank page—and so does every creative journey. Graphic Novel 101 helps teens fill that page with characters, stories, and worlds of their own making. By the end, they’ll hold more than just a book in their hands—they’ll hold proof that their ideas matter.
